Rainbow Marketplace – Account Deletion Request

Important: Account Deletion is Permanent

Deleting your Rainbow account is a permanent action. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your account information, order history, saved preferences, and other data associated with your account.

Please read the information below carefully before proceeding with your account deletion request.

Account Deletion Available in Mobile App

Account deletion is currently available through the Rainbow mobile app only. The account deletion feature is not available on the web app at this time.

If you have the mobile app installed, you can delete your account directly from the app by going to Settings and selecting Delete Account.

If you don't have the mobile app or prefer not to use it, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team (see instructions below).

How to Request Account Deletion

You can delete your Rainbow account through the mobile app. Account deletion is not currently available on the web app. To request deletion of your Rainbow account and associated data, please use one of the following methods:

Delete Account via Mobile App (Recommended)

If you have the Rainbow mobile app installed, you can delete your account directly from the app:

  1. Open the Rainbow mobile app on your device
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Navigate to Settings
  4. Tap on Delete Account
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm account deletion

Note: Account deletion is not available on the web app. Please use the mobile app or contact our support team if you don't have access to the mobile app.

Verification and Confirmation

Our support team will verify your identity to ensure the account deletion request is legitimate. This is a security measure to protect your account from unauthorized deletion. Once verified, we will process your account deletion request and you will receive a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.

When you request account deletion, the following data will be removed from our live databases within 7 days:

Account Information

  • Your account profile and personal information

Activity Data

  • Saved addresses and delivery preferences
  • Wishlists and saved items
  • Reviews and ratings you have submitted

Data Retention and Legal Obligations

While we remove your personal data from our live databases within 7 days of account closure, we are required by law to retain certain records for legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting purposes.

Retention Period

In accordance with our legal and accounting obligations, we will retain your personal data records for 7 years from the date of account closure. This retention period is necessary to comply with:

  • UK tax and accounting regulations
  • Financial reporting requirements
  • Legal and regulatory compliance obligations
  • Dispute resolution and legal proceedings

What Data Is Retained

During the retention period, the following types of data may be kept in archived, secure systems:

  • Financial transaction records (for tax and accounting purposes)

This retained data will not be used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties except as required by law.

After the Retention Period

After the 7-year retention period expires, all remaining personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems in accordance with our data retention policy.

What Happens After Account Deletion

Immediate Effects

  • You will no longer be able to log in to your Rainbow account
  • You will lose access to your order history and account information
  • Any active orders or pending transactions will be handled according to our terms of service
  • You will no longer receive marketing communications from Rainbow

Creating a New Account

If you wish to use Rainbow Marketplace again in the future, you will need to create a new account. Your previous account data will not be restored.

Temporarily Disable Your Account

If you need a break from using Rainbow Marketplace, you can contact our support team to temporarily disable your account. This allows you to reactivate it later without losing your data.
